The word
EvapR8® has been cleverly coined to describe a unique moisture management system for apparel and other textile products. Evaporation of perspiration definitely plays a part in the regulation of the human thermostat. The
EvapR8® product that we use molecularly bonds to polyester. The bonding changes normally hydrophobic (water hating) characteristics to an ability to accept and transfer moisture in all directions. Yet, polyester still dislikes water. Because polyester still isn't happy with its new relationship with water it moves perspiration rapidly to the outside of the fabric so it can evaporate quickly. This is an advantage over cotton because cotton becomes saturated and weighted with moisture, making evaporation difficult at best.
